Blucher Australia has been involved in several projects at the Sydney Opera House in recent years. EuroPipe stainless steel drainage products have been installed in all the commercial kitchen areas to deal with greasy waste. Plastic and cast iron are simply not suitable and the AS/NZ 3500 plumbing code does not allow copper to be used in this application. "Brass was an option for the client," says Blucher Technical Manager, Ian Johnson. "But stainless steel was chosen because of the ease of installation, which made it quicker to complete the job and, therefore, less expensive." |
