The Central Queensland Port Authority uses the Mapress stainless steel joining system in its two coal facilities at the Port of Gladstone, one of the busiest in Australia. "It's that fast and user-friendly, it's not funny," says Wayne Long, Leading Hand Plumber and Head of Water Management at the port. 

"All the dust suppression sprays on our coal conveyors are all Blucher manufactured on site to our standards. We also use Blucher for refuelling the diesel bulldozers which shift the coal."

"We are a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation, with trains and ships coming and going all the time. Stopping a conveyor belt can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars an hour. It used to take us two days to fix or install something new on the conveyor, and now we do it in an hour and half."

"It's phenomenally fast, easy to use, you can fit it to any existing pipe and it can handle anything, even the pressure and heat of steam in our international sterilisation unit."
