The New Cast is Just Grate!
New Cast Grating available for Industrial Drain Range

[see the specifications]

Formed as a single piece grating, the new Cast Grating delivers many advantages, particularly to the food processing, pharmaceutical and other industries where hygiene is paramount. Compared with other gratings, the Cast still performs up to the most demanding situations in flow rates and load capabilities yet costs less than the Ladder grating equivalent.

> Increased hygiene benefits:
Being formed as a single piece grating, there are no nooks and crannies where germs and bacteria can grow.

> Cost benefits:
Choosing the Cast Grating over the Ladder saves you money without reducing performance.

> Excellent flow rates:
These are achieved by the web layout of the grating members allowing equal flow to that of other Blucher gratings.

> Excellent load capabilities:
Capable of withstanding loads of forklifts, trolley jacks and vehicles the Cast Grating will suit demanding situations.

The Cast Grating is available as:

  • 170 x 170mm for BLUCHER 200 Industrial Drains;
  • 270 x 270mm for BLUCHER 300 Industrial Drains;
  • 145 x 499mm for BLUCHER or custom Channels and;
  • 195 x 499mm for BLUCHER or custom Channels.

Draining a National Icon
Adding more EuroPipe to the Sydney Opera House

EuroPipe stainless steel drainage products have been installed as part of the Sydney Opera House for some time and with the latest renovation work taking place, as part of the Green Room Cafe redevelopment, we are to see more BLUCHER installed into this international icon.

Installation is to be carried out by Gray Plumbing Services. Todd Gray was impressed with the installation and look of the EuroPipe product. Work will include the refurbishment of the Green Room Cafe, increasing it in size and providing a new look in service for Sydney Opera House patrons.

For the best, use the best.

Don't let this happen to you!
The problems associated with the use of uPVC

The above picture shows the consequences of choosing the wrong product.

The uPVC junction shown has been subjected to hot water in a food processing plant. In this case plastics were chosen over metal products to save money, for the benefit of the specifiers/builders. The cost of initial downtime and eventual replacement is now the responsibility of the food processing company, which adds up to much more than the initial saving.

There is another problem, also common in the food processing industry as well as in many others. Although plastics might have been sufficient in an initial installation, due to ever-changing hygiene requirements, or in some cases, area refurbishment, the plastic drainage product is no longer suitable.

The owner of this failure is lucky!

This section is accessible for replacement. When selecting drainage materials, be sure the material can withstand your plant effluent temperatures, now and into to the future!

Also be sure the drainage material expansion rate can suit your effluent extremes, now and into the future!

Can you afford not to use Blucher products?
