Behind Blucher Australia is a hand-picked team of skilled and committed people, based in Adelaide, South Australia. The company is run by managing director Ian Johnson, who is passionate about their products and customer service. Ian Johnson - Managing Director, Technical Manager
Ian, a third generation plumber with 30 years' experience, leads the technical team at Blucher. He provides technical and sales advice, designs specialised installations, and trains installers on-site. Ian began his career as a domestic and commercial plumber before spending 15 years as a contractor with one of NSW's largest meat processors, Mitsubishi-owned Midcoast Meat Company. It was during this time, while in charge of plant maintenance and large refurbishment projects, that he discovered the benefits of Blucher drainage and pressure products, and Midco became the first meat processor in the country to install them. He was subsequently invited to upgrade plumbing systems in several other meat plants, and used Blucher each time. Ian began working part-time with Mogens Jensen at Blucher in 1996. He joined full-time in 2000 and moved to Adelaide with his family the following year to work from Head Office.

Daniel Sheen - VIC Sales Executive
Daniel met Ian Johnson whilst installing a range of Blucher products throughout the food industry and commenced working for Blucher in April 2006. Daniel is a qualified plumber with a background in the industrial sector working on projects and maintenance in manufacturing, food processing and abattoirs. Daniel’s background offers technical assistance and solutions to various plumbing installations.
Justin Allingham - QLD Sales Executive
Justin has had a successful career in sales since 1995, specialising in the supply of complete plumbing systems in pipes, fittings, valves & controls into water, chemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage and refrigeration markets. Working closely with consultants, contractors and end users, his experience spans across the domestic and industrial plumbing markets in both his homeland of the UK and more recently in Australia. Justin graduated from University in 2001 with an Honours degree in Business Management. Matt Lloyd - NSW Sales Executive
Matt Lloyd has combined a long history working in the plumbing industry with a successful career in sales. His particular passion for technical sales has seen him work in various parts of Europe for which he brings to Blucher Australia a wealth of experience. Matt's background and knowledge within this industry are great assets to both those within his own sales team and importantly, the customers he works with.
Chris Booth - WA Sales Executive
Chris Booth has 18 years experience in sales with Shearer Wright and Tradelink, specialising in the supply of pipe, fittings and valves to the HVAC, Industrial Plumbing and Marine Industries. Working closely with Mechanical Consultants, Design Engineers, Contract Managers and Piping Installers. Seeing projects through from design to installation and commissioning. Chris brings to Blucher his unique experiences in the Marine Industry, after years of working closely with one of the largest Aluminium Fast Ferry builders in the world; Austal Ships. Chris also brings a wealth of knowledge in the supply of specialist metals such as Copper Nickel. Colin Schmidt - Technical Sales
Colin has been in the Sheetmetal industry for 35 years, completing an apprenticeship plus Post Trade in Business Management and Estimating. The past 25 years Colin has specialised in Stainless Steel fabrication which has taken him into many areas including catering, hospital, defence, schools and food processing. Working with and along side architects, consultants, plumbers and suppliers to achieve many successful projects.
