Sizes and pressure tests – Available in diameters from 15 to 108 mm. Approved for a working pressure of 16 to 25 bar (1600 to 2500 kPa, or 225 to 355 psi) depending on size, type of press tool used and product being conveyed. Also able to be pressure tested up to 40 bar (4000 kPa or 570 psi).

Fast – The Mapress stainless steel pipe joining system really couldn't be faster or easier. Just measure, cut, deburr, press – and in a few seconds the job is done. It really is that simple. And, of course, the more work you can get done in one day, the more time and money you save.

There’s also no longer any need to work with potentially dangerous welding equipment, or employ a specialist to do the job. Only four tools are required – pipecutter, deburrer, depth gauge for witness marking, and the Press Fit joining tool. There’s no need to haul heavy welding equipment – and virtually anyone can learn to do it.

High and low temperature resistance – the stainless steel used in our pressure plumbing system will resist scaling and maintain high strength at very high temperatures, while others show exceptional toughness at cryogenic temperatures.

Fire resistance – unlike PVC and other plastics, stainless steel won’t melt or give off toxic fumes in a fire.

Hygienic properties – the Mapress pressure system is used extensively in medical, food processing and pharmaceutical applications for the natural hygienic qualities of stainless steel and the tight fitting and moulded join between tube and fittings – fewer cavities for hygiene problems to develop.

Corrosion resistance – the highly alloyed grades of stainless steel used in the Mapress stainless steel pressure system can resist corrosion in most acids, alkaline solutions, and chloride-bearing environments, even at elevated temperatures and pressures.
