The Mapress Advantage
There are many reason for using the Mapress stainless steel pressure system. The advantages of using the Mapress stainless steel pressure system are: Versatility – The Mapress stainless steel pressure system can be used in a huge range of circumstances, including the supply of drinking water in high rise buildings where large head pressures are exerted, in chemical plants where aggressive fluids demand secure transportation, and in high risk areas where flame and sparks can cause explosion. Sizes and pressure tests – Available in diameters from 15 to 108 mm. Approved for a working pressure of 16 to 25 bar (1600 to 2500 kPa, or 225 to 355 psi) depending on size, type of press tool used and product being conveyed. Also able to be pressure tested up to 40 bar (4000 kPa or 570 psi). Fast – The Mapress stainless steel pipe joining system really couldn't be faster or easier. Just measure, cut, deburr, press – and in a few seconds the job is done. It really is that simple. And, of course, the more work you can get done in one day, the more time and money you save. There’s also no longer any need to work with potentially dangerous welding equipment, or employ a specialist to do the job. Only four tools are required – pipecutter, deburrer, depth gauge for witness marking, and the Press Fit joining tool. There’s no need to haul heavy welding equipment – and virtually anyone can learn to do it. High and low temperature resistance – the stainless steel used in our pressure plumbing system will resist scaling and maintain high strength at very high temperatures, while others show exceptional toughness at cryogenic temperatures. Fire resistance – unlike PVC and other plastics, stainless steel won’t melt or give off toxic fumes in a fire. Corrosion resistance – the highly alloyed grades of stainless steel used in the Mapress stainless steel pressure system can resist corrosion in most acids, alkaline solutions, and chloride-bearing environments, even at elevated temperatures and pressures. Huge range of applications – a combination of high grade stainless steel, precision pipe joining and specially designed rubber ring seals means the Mapress stainless steel pressure system can carry water, gases, fuels, oils & solvents. Safe – no need for OH&S hot work permits & inspection delays. The only tools you need weigh far less than cumbersome welding equipment, are ergonomic and balanced. Internationally quality tested – recognised by numerous international approval authorities, including Standards Australia (Watermark), Lloyds Register of Shipping and many more. Ease of future maintenance – Cut-ins and repairs to existing Mapress stainless steel system can be done quickly and easily using repair couplings and, in an emergency situation, this can save enormously on cost and downtime. What’s more, the job can be done even if it’s not possible to shut off the water entirely. (This is, of course, unlike systems that require brazing or welding that require a completely dry environment to enable the process to be successful.) Range of fittings – The extensive Mapress stainless steel fittings range offers more options than welded or compression ranges. |
